If students really want to improve their English it's better to choose general or intensive. University Preparation offers advantages for applications. I recommend you choose Gaines for accommodation because it has the most modern rooms and it's comfortable.

Huge nice school as college, where is everything what you need. Just be aware that it is far away from central Manhattan and the train to get there is expensive. It was a nice experience here to try the American campus life. This is the biggest EF school which I have visited (I have studied in four schools in all).
